Depression Spiral: What Are You Doing Now?
Now that you understand how kids can get stuck in depression, and how "waiting to feel like doing something" is unhelpful, let's understand what your daily life and mood looks like. We do so by completing the Daily Monitoring Form.
The goal is to identify a baseline for your current mood, any patterns of your depressed mood or behavior, and give yourself a sense of your current activity levels. As kids, your job, together with your parents' support, is to write your daily activities down hourly, and rate your activity in terms of how much fun you had while doing it, and how important you found it to be. Finally, provide a general mood rating that you had for the entire day.
